The Accessibility Entrance and Elevator are also unavailable.

There is a limited selection of Children’s items on display in the Adult Department.

The Hudson Public Library is delighted to serve our community once again!  As of Monday, May 3, 2021, the library is open to the public with limited capacity. As we navigate through these service changes, your patience, enthusiasm, and compliance are greatly appreciated! The well-being of our community and staff will always be our top priority. Our goal is to provide a safe and positive library experience for everyone! Welcome back!

Public Hours:

Mon-Thu:  9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Friday:  9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday:  9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

To provide reasonable access to all, we ask that your keep visits to 1 hour or less.

Special accommodations are scheduled by appointment only. Please contact the corresponding department (e.g. Children’s Room, Reference Department, or Adult Circulation) to assist you with your request.

Book Drop & Library Returns

BOOK DROP HOURS: EVERY DAY | 9 AM – CLOSE

All DVDs, CDs, and CD Books can go in the outside book drop at this time.

Playaway Launchpad Tablets and Museum Passes must be returned by calling ahead.

Items will remain in quarantine for at least 24 hours before being checked in.

All Due Dates and Late Fines will be waived at check-in.


Reference & Technology

Reference and Technology Services are now accessible with limited capacity.

Reference and Technology Services Include:

  • Computer Usage
  • Photocopy / Fax
  • Microfilm Machine
  • Wireless Printing
  • Reference Inquiries

Please note:

  • Reference Services are available for 1-hour sessions.
  • Groups of up to 2 people are allowed at a single work station.
  • There are two (2) computers available to the public.
    If unavailable, you may make a reservation for a later time.
  • The Library can not break bills or make change.
    Please bring $1 or $5 bills or change (machines can not take pennies)

Library Donations

The Friends of the Hudson Public Library are accepting donations Saturdays, 11 AM – 1 PM, at 62 Packard Street beginning May 8th, 2021.
